Spirited Away

Hello everyone,

Today, I want to review you about an animation that I love most.
It is "Spirited Away". Have you ever saw this movie?

If you are not, I will show some picture from the movie to you.

Maybe some of you may think "Oh.. It's a cartoon for the children, I don't want to watch it.(゚ペ)", but you know? -- My father, who always speaks like this, loves this movie!

(He was 57 years old when he saw this movie in the first time!)

I think cartoon is not only for the children, but also for the adult who wants to refill his/her imagination, and bring back the memories of his/her childhood.

At the first time when I saw this movie, I was in 7th grade and this movie becomes one of my favorite since then. Spirited away is an impressive, genuinely magical movie, include with the beautiful and meaningful soundtrack.! It's combine imagination with the Japanese culture perfectly. In some parts, you have to interpret the character's act by yourself, that's very fun! Moreover, you can enjoy the movie while getting knowledge of Japanese culture.   ★ ヾ(^ ^)

Spirited Away is a 2001 Japanese animation film, directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli.

Chihiro, a ten-year-old girl who is in the process of moving to a new neighborhood, gets lost in a world of spirits. Her parents become pigs because of their gluttonous. Chihiro has to find a way to restore her parents' true forms and find the way back home by working in Yubaba's bathhouse.

Yubaba's bathhouse where Chihiro works、 in order to help her parents.

Haku, who is a dragon in the guise of a human, is the only one who helps Chihiro after her parents have transformed into pigs. He met Chihiro before when she was very young and can remember her immediately when he saw her stand in front of the bathhouse. He works as Yubaba's direct subordinate, often running errands and performing various missions for her.

Themes of Spirited Away is Chihiro and her journey in the bathhouse of the gods. She forced into the magical world, completely separated from everything she has known and must find her way back to reality.

Interpretation
The archetypal entrance into another world clearly demarcates Chihiro’s status as one in-between child and adult, Chihiro stands outside these societal boundaries, a situation mirrored by the supernatural setting outside reality. Having lost her childhood identity, Chihiro cannot return to reality by the way she came; she can only move forward into adulthood. The following trials and obstacles Chihiro must overcome become the challenges and lessons common in rites-of-passage and the mono-myth format. In her attempt to regain her self, her "continuity with her past," Chihiro must forge a new identity.

Then, if you have some free time and don't have any idea to do, why don't you watch Spirited Away with your family? I hope you will enjoy this movie like me!! ( v^-^)

Bye Bye (⌒ー⌒)ノ~~~
